“ UNTIL THE DAY I DIE ”
Words and Music by Keith McGavern

You came into my life
And not a moment too soon
Cause I’ve been waiting for sometime now
To write someone this tune.

You see I’ve traveled for awhile,
And I’ve tried to settle down.
I’ve had my good times, they mean a lot,
And yet I still search around.

For someone whom I can be,
Always by their side,
To share the good times and the bad,
Until the day I die.

When you put your hand in mine,
The love began to flow
From where it came I know not now,
This is all I know.

The Lord has ways of working in
Lives like yours and mine
And if it is commanded of me,
I’ll leave the past behind.

For someone whom I can be,
Always by their side,
To share the good times and the bad,
Until the day I die.

Now we’ve been together such a short time,
The days have been but a few
One evening spent in paradise,
And life became so new.

Well you said you could take care of me,
An easy thing to do
Well, I’d love for you to take care of me,
If that is what you’d like to do.

Cause you are someone whom I could be,
Always by their side,
To share the good times and the bad,
Until the day I die.
