“ I'D LIKE TO LIVE A LIFE THAT IS TRUE ”
Words and Music by Keith McGavern

What am I doing here, to help the world along.
It’s a question that I’ve asked myself for the times that have gone wrong.
I pick up some trash while walking to work, say hello to the people there.
And through it all I ask myself, do they really even care.

CHORUS
For the love that is around and the flowers in the ground,
For the birds up in the trees with their chirping melodies,
For the creatures that roam very far away from home,
And the stars up in the sky when the moon is so high.
For the people that I’ve found, who never make a sound,
For the times that are so bad, they seem so very glad,
That I wish I really knew what the magic is they do,
‘Cause I’d like to live a life that is true.
Yes, I’d like to live a life that is true.

Songs are being sung all over this world by me and some others too.
Letting you know of the love that is found in the peace of knowing you.
I sit by myself in the quiet of the night waiting in the silence of my soul.
Wanting to know that everthing’s all right, has got to be the only way to go.

REPEAT CHORUS:

I look out on this world from a different point of view, I’ve known it all along.
Still it doesn’t make it any easier to tell myself to go on.
I pick up my feet, take a step or two,
and then I find myself heading straight for you.
There isn’t any chance that I’ll lose my way, I only want to follow you.

REPEAT CHORUS:
